Trusts

Trusts can provide additional control over your estate, especially when used in conjunction with a Will and Powers of Attorney for Health Care and Finances.  If you have children, you should consider a Trust so that distributions from your estate can be made over time, or when your children reach a certain age (such as 18 or 21).  Trusts are also useful when your intended beneficiary has special needs or circumstances, such as disability, addiction, bankruptcy, and divorce.
